A Warm and Fuzzy Christmas Wish...

Sometimes something happens that reminds you of people in your past. Yesterday at the Company's annual Christmas Caroling another co-worker and I realized that we've both interacted with the same despicable person over the last few hears.

I'm thinking of a lady that used to work at my undergraduate institution that made life hard for everyone. She used to be the head of the Business Office, and took great pride in frustrating students to the point of transfer or drop-out. Rare is the individual who is equally hated by students, co-workers, and administration.

So I think I'm going to send this old hag a Christmas Card this year, text as follows.

Dear H.,
Merry Christmas to everyone in your household, except you. I despise you.
Yours,
Jesus Christ
P.S. If I see you in a crosswalk, look out!
I dare say that the Christmas Card is an under-utilized form of hate mail. Perhaps its time I did something about that!

This is my aunt....and my little Ian.

My Aunt lives and works on her own small farm in Southern Illinois, the family Homestead, and lives in the house where my she, my other great aunts and uncles grew up. The house has been in the family since before the 1900's.

I love that my kids, who will probably be raised in the 'city', will always have a place to experience what farm life was like a half century ago. There have been few technological improvements at the farm since my dad was a kid.

It just makes me a little warm and fuzzy!
